Join the Friends
Join our friendly museum community and gain exclusive access to our collections through a programme of special events. Membership is based on an annual subscription starting from just £15.
Volunteer
We have a tremendous group of volunteers who help with everything at the museum from welcoming visitors, front of house to restoring and repairing our industrial machines.
Leave a Legacy
Victorian silk heiress and philanthropist Marianne Brocklehurst donated her Egyptology collections to the people of Macclesfield. Since the Silk Museum was founded over 30 years ago, by the generosity and commitment of a group of local supporters, we have continued to benefit from charitable support.
